Faeries vs. humans, who will win the battle for Fei, the land of the faeries?

Ariela is a mutant faerie. She was born without wings. This means she has no faerie magos---what we call magic---or does she? Just after her Age of Maturity she is kidnapped by the warmongering humans and in particular, the Warlord Kel. He believes she is a human child stolen by the faeries. In one horrific night he murders her faerie parents and takes her to his Lair. It is there she discovers a secret of her parentage. Is she a faerie or something else? The Faerie Council asks her to pretend to be a human so she can spy on them and learn of their plans in regard to Fei, the faerie land. The humans are stealing faerie children from Fei and enslaving them, clipping their wings or severing them completely off. The faerie race is in danger of becoming extinct unless the Veil of Enclosure, the opaque border surrounding Fei from Hege stops dissolving. The Book of Lore states only a silver-winged faerie can stop the destruction but no silver-winged faerie has been born. It is up to Ariela to stop the humans from destroying Fei.
